We use cookies

Cookies and browser storage help this site work and, if you allow it, measure how it is used. You can at any time. Learn more in our cookie policy.

Cookies

Last updated: 2026-08-15

Summary

We write two kinds of information to your device. Essential storage is needed for the service you asked for to work (session, security, your preferences, your notes on this device) and does not require consent; it is listed item by item here. Measurement cookies are optional: if you connect from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, they are written only if you choose “Accept all” in the notice at the bottom of the page or “Measurement” in the preferences; in other regions they are on by default and you can turn them off. Your region is determined from your browser’s time zone. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of this page or in the footer. When you withdraw consent, measurement cookies are deleted.

Essential cookies

authjs.session-token (and its __Secure- prefixed form on secure connections): the session cookie that keeps you signed in. Duration: the length of your session, at most 30 days.

authjs.csrf-token, authjs.callback-url: security cookies that block forged requests during sign-in and remember the return address. Duration: for the session.

Share password cookie: when you enter the correct password for a password-protected share link, it lets the page open without asking again. Duration: short, for that link only.

Currency cookie: to show prices in the currency you chose (a preference; written when you choose).

In the “Sign in with Bilgesam” flow, short-lived session and interaction cookies are used while you sign in to another app.

Browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB)

Your notes and folders: stored encrypted in this browser, in IndexedDB (saa). They are not sent to us; if you turn on cloud backup, the backup is written encrypted too.

Your preferences: theme, language, chat background, the model you chose and chat visibility, panel sizes, notes view and the notes assistant setting (saa:theme, saa:lang, saa:wall, saa:model, saa:visibility and similar).

Interface state: whether you have seen the intro tour and the first welcome, announcements you dismissed, the waiting time for the verification email.

Your cookie choice: saa:analytics (accept or reject).

Chat widget: a chat window embedded on another site keeps the chat ID in that site’s browser storage so the visitor can continue the conversation.

None of this data is used for advertising or tracking, and it can be deleted at any time from your browser’s settings.

Measurement cookies (optional)

Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk and Clarity’s own cookies): written only on public pages and according to the region rule above; they help us understand how the site is used (views, clicks, in-page navigation). The data is sent to Microsoft and processed there. Measurement never runs on the chat, notes, media, account, admin and sharing screens. Duration: _clck one year, _clsk one day.
